Week 10 & 11: Yellow

Poor yellow got left out of the first week, so this week is devoted to the primary color. If you see Coldplay walking down the street singing yellow, that counts. Although some of you **MrLizer** may try to punch them instead of snapping a photo.

Week 9: Abandonment

Urban decay, loneliness... your Michael Jackson albums (or possibly not). We are constantly surrounded by abandonment, let's try to look at it and capture it from an interesting point of view.

Week 7: Motion

In physics, motion means a continuous change in the location of a body. Change in motion is the result of applied force. On photopath.org, it really means whatever you want it to mean. Get creative with any shot you can convey some sense of motion.

Week 6: Movie Titles

May 9 - May 16, 2008

mathiashellquist had some good suggestions for themes, so this week will be a good creativity exercise based on his movie titles idea. Keep an eye out for a shot that could represent a movie title (or your interpretation of it), or a set up a scene yourself. AFI's 100 years 100 movies list is a good place to start to get some ideas going. Good luck!

Week 5: Faces in Places

May 2 - May 9, 2008

Inspired by the faces in places blog, we'll make our own collection of 'faces found in everyday places'. So keep your eye out for anything that resembles a face - hopefully we won't all be overly paranoid after a week of spotting additional eyes on us!

Week 4: Your Day

The theme this week will be to find something that you encounter in your daily life and try to capture it from a new angle. Doesn't matter whether it's the computer you stare at every day, or the same jerk that puts his elbow in your face on the subway in the mornings, just take a shot. Remember that this is shorter than usual to get back on the friday schedule.

Week 3: Contours

April 18 - 27, 2008

con·tour (kon'toor') n.

1. The outline of a figure, body, or mass.
2. A line that represents such an outline.
3. A surface, especially of a curving form. Often used in the plural.

Week 2: Patterns

April 11 - 18, 2008

Keep an eye out for patterns this week. Whether it's brick, fabric, stone or me going to the pub after work every day - if it's a pattern... shoot it. Upload your photos to your flickr account and enter photopath:id=102 as a tag.

Week 1: RGB Color (Red, Green, Blue)

April 4 - 11, 2008

Not quite primary colors, but it makes sense for the digital age. Let's get warmed up by getting out and keeping these colors in mind. Not all three have to be captured, but do your best to capture red, green or blue as creatively as you can. Or all three together if you can manage.
